Visual Python (VPython) is a 3D graphics environment very well suited for physics demonstrations. Two of the principal developers of VPython, Ruth Chabay and Bruce Sherwood have written a physics textbook, Matter & Interactions, John Wiley, 2007, illustrating the modeling of physical systems.
Examples from VPython serve as a starting point for exploring a web-based platform for multi-player games.
