ECE 595 Computer Vision Assignment 6

Submit Matlab code (published and original), images, and a Word document describing your work.

  1. Write MATLAB programs to reproduce the figures below

    1. Shading examples using lighting

    2. Variations of diffuse and specular reflection

    3. Varying the SpecularExponent

    4. Varying the SpecularColorReflectance

  2. Produce a composite images of the two bulletin boards in the attachment (asgn06_images.zip). There are three overlapping images per bulletin board.

  3. Use the calibration toolbox to calibrate the cameras in the images from the Isidore attachment HP_stereo.zip. Report the instrinsic camera parameters and the location of the images relative to the camera. This should be similar to the example exercise from the previous assignment.

  4. Use any one image from both cameras and extract the location and orientation of the object from the cameras. This may be difficult, but it would be good evidence of mastering 3D information recovery from stereo. There are some examples in the calibration toolbox.
