ECE 595 Computer Vision Assignment 1

  1. Create an image using Matlab of a 3D object (like the helix shown in class) with a orthographic projection of the object onto a plane shown in the same image. In Matlab you should be able to rotate the scene and superimpose the project with the view of the original object.

  2. Divide into teams and construct three camera calibration boards each about 3 ft square with a checkerboard or other suitable pattern. Use a thick foam board to minimize warping. There should be about 8-16 squares (or other patterns) per side or 64-256 calibation points per board. You will be writing Matlab code to find these calibration points in images.
