ECE 595 Assignment 1

Work on gathering information about books and articles about numerical methods in electrical and computer engineering. This course is intended to cover topics not usually covered in introductory courses in numerical methods and to cover applications of current interest in electrical and computer engineering. Some topics that we may want to cover include

• numerical methods used in SPICE
• simulation of semiconductor processes - e. g. diffusion, ion-implantation, etching
• propagation of electromagnetic waves
• 3D geometrical modeling of semiconductor structures

Document all of your work and searches on the computer. We will consolidate all of the information gathered, student (and professor) work, on CD and distribute copies to the students. Our goal is a final CD covering all work done during the semester.
