ECE 563 Assignment 12 (due 7 April 2004)
Download images from impro12.zip. In the problems below, identify
the type of perspective in each image according to the number of finite vanishing points, that is
as one, two, or three-point perspective.
Individual Projects
- Locate the vanishing points in your example image of perspective from the first assignment.
Group Projects
- Calculate the location and height of the software boxes on the table in the image (table.tif) below.
You may use the results presented in class as a starting point.
- Generate a perspective transform of the four table corners in table.tif above into a rectangle with
the aspect ratio determined in class. Show the resulting transformed image (where these four points map to a
rectangle).
- Locate the vanishing points in the table images from KLtablen.jpg. Determine the aspect
ratio of the table. You can check the original table in the "innovation corridor". (KL351)
- Locate the vanishing points in the hallway images from the third floor of KL. Exactly how much wider
is the front hall from the rear hall? The images are from KLhalln.jpg.
- Locate the vanishing points from the images of the exterior building (KLexteriorn.jpg).
