Whoops - that should be Problem M 14.4!
The goal is a three-channel system (like Figure 14.28 (a)).
The three lines between the analysis filters and the synthesis filters encompass the three channels. Channel 1 (H00) is the top line, channel 2 (H01) is the middle line, and channel 3 (H1) is the bottom line.
