ECE 533. COMPUTER DESIGN: Design considerations of the computer, register transfer operations; hardware implementation of arithmetic processors and ALU; instruction set format and design and its effect on the internal microengine; hardware and microprogrammed control design; comparative architectures. Prerequisites ECE 501 or equivalent. 3 sem. hrs.
