ECE323 Basic Electronic Circuits Assignment 11
- Given the following circuit of an external resistor
RS = 200 W and a diode with
turn-on voltage VT = 0.7 V and internal resistance
RD = 1 W, find the voltage
VD and current iD for a source
voltage VS = 12 V.
- Given the following circuit, in which R1 =
R2 = R3 = 100 W, a diode with turn-on voltage
VT = 0.7 V, and source voltage VS
= 5 V. Find iD.
Hint: Consider the Thévenin equivalent circuit.
- Given the following full-wave bridge rectifier with a 20 V rms
60-Hz source, 1 kW, and 100 mF capacitor. Assume a voltage drop of 0.7 V across
each forward-biased diode. Find the average DC output voltage and the
peak-to-peak ripple voltage.
