Read chapter 1 from the textbook and do the following exercises:
  1. exercises 1-4, 1-5, 1-6, 1-7 (concept of resolution)
  2. exercises 1-9, 1-10 (biggest and smallest numbers with fixed number of bits)
  3. exercises 1-11 through 1-24 (base conversions)
  4. exercises 1-26 through 1-30 (bits, bytes, and words)
  5. exercises 1-34, 1-35 and 1-38 (overflow)
  6. exercise 1-42, 1-43, and 1-44 (for fun)
